Ministry of Agriculture launched a Catchment Conservation Campaign under the theme &lsquo;Integrated Catchment Management for Enhanced Climate Resilience for Food and Nutrition Security. The catchment conservation and adoption on modern farming technologies and practicing other alternative agricultural practices guarantee high crop production among small scale farmers.

The government, through the Ministry of Natural Resources and Climate Change, has finally managed to ban the use of thin plastics as they are not environmentally friendly. The ban was first introduced in 2015 but companies that produce plastics challenged the ban through courts. On 31st January 2025, the court dismissed a judicial review on thin plastics, citing abuse of the court process.&nbsp;
