Gazetting of Increased National Minimum Wage (2026)
The Department of Employment and Labour gazetted an increase in the national minimum wage, setting it at R30.23 per ordinary hour worked, effective 1 March 2026. The revised wage applies across sectors, including domestic and farm workers, with adjusted rates also provided for Expanded Public Works Programme workers and learnership agreements.
