Government allocates water and sanitation sector with R156.3 billion on expanding dams, as well as bulk infrastructure to service mines, factories and farms.

The government of South Africa allocates R156.3 billion to the water and sanitation sector for water and sanitation. This investment will also cover the construction and upgrading of bulk infrastructure systems, which are essential for providing reliable water services to key economic areas, including mining operations, manufacturing facilities, and agricultural farms. These improvements aim to support industrial growth, enhance water security, and ensure sustainable resource management for these critical sectors of the economy.
