Bank of Zambia Introduces New Benchmark Bonds

The government through the Bank of Zambia (BoZ) has introduced new benchmark bonds to develop its government securities market. The three-year bond will lose its benchmark status, and while the five-year bond retains its status, it will not be issued for the remainder of 2026. The BoZ will begin reopening benchmark bonds in April 2026 to reach a minimum target size.
