Cash transfer programme in the Monze and Bweengwa districts of Southern Province monitored by the Minister of Community Development and Social Services.

Community Development and Social Services Minister undertook a fact-finding mission in the Monze and Bweengwa districts of Southern Province to monitor the cash transfer programme.

The government resolved to pay funds using the Zambia Integrated Social Protection Services (ZIPSIS).

The Zambian government has reassured Social Cash Transfer beneficiaries that support will continue, with Zambezi District Commissioner Simeon Machayi emphasising that the programme remains central to reducing extreme poverty. He noted that the new ZISPIS digital system is improving transparency and payment efficiency, while beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the assistance, saying it meaningfully eases household hardship.
